WEET-BIX Mzansi Porridge

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 WEET-BIX biscuits
  • 1 cup maize meal
  • ΒΌ cup full cream milk
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon butter

Method

  1. In a medium-sized pot, bring all 4 cups of water to the boil. While waiting for the water to boil, mix the maize meal with a dash of water until the mixture is well blended.
  2. Add the maize mixture to your boiled water, spoon by spoon and stir until you reach a smooth consistency.
  3. Lower the heat and continue to cook your porridge for a further 15 minutes. Add the crushed WEET-BIX and leave it to cook for a further 5 minutes.
  4. At this point, the porridge should be ready. Dish up the porridge into your serving bowl, add the milk, butter, honey and lastly the banana. Stir & enjoy.
